At 10Clouds, we know that in today’s business landscape, an effective outbound sales team can make a significant difference to our success in the market. While we’ve had individuals working in this role for some time, we’re now ready to ramp up our activity – which is why we’re creating a brand new outbound team, dedicated to reaching out to potential customers, building relationships and a wonderful customer experience. I’d love to tell you a little more about our vision, and the roles that we’re looking to fill. Perhaps I can encourage you to join us?

The 10Clouds Outbound Sales Mission

We’re looking to build a team of skills Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) under the leadership of a driven manager who will be responsible for the training and development of team members. Their mission will be to make the first contact with prospects, introduce them to our range of development and design services, and help them understand how we can meet their needs. They will also conduct Discovery Calls with potential clients with the aim of qualifying leads and creating business opportunities.

The goal is to use the Account-Based Marketing (ABM) approach to create a more personalized and effective outreach strategy. We know this method speaks to the needs of both the companies that we’re looking to work with and the individual decision-makers within them. The team will increase the velocity of the sales funnel, improve customer experience and turn our current customers into brand advocates.

The road to success is paved with good data, which is why we focus on consistent customer and market analysis, testing the effectiveness of our engagement and knowledge-sharing.

Each SDR also has a number of potential career paths, including moving up in seniority within their own role, becoming an Account Executive or a Business Development Manager.

Have we piqued your interest? Let me tell you a little more.

A Day in the Life of an Outbound SDR

To give you a flavor of what the role involves, I spoke to Olga Holwek who is the first member of our new team.

Welcome Olga.

Could you tell us about what your role involves?

My role is split into several key areas. Firstly, I'm responsible for reaching out to prospects via different channels, including email, phone and social media. Some of these contacts are senior leaders in companies that we've already had contact with, be it at events, or via our broader network. We're currently focused on building new relationships in the DeFi and FinTech space, although we're excited by innovative projects, from across different sectors.

Once I've made a connection with a prospect who is open to working with us, I’ll speak with them to find out more about their unique ideas and the challenges that they're facing. I love coming up with creative solutions to these and explaining the breadth of knowledge and experience that the 10Clouds Delivery Team has.

My role is also about improving our processes and strategies, collaborating with different departments and coming up with innovative ways to achieve my goals and in doing so having a genuine impact on business growth.

What are the key skills that you think an Outbound SDR should possess?

As an outbound SDR, I think it's important to be adaptable, creative and resilient, as well as having great attention to detail and an opportunity-focused mindset. You need to be able to tune into the specific needs and challenges that given partners are facing, and to capture their attention with creative solutions.. And since rejection is a common element of the job, you need to be able to bounce back quickly and keep going. Attention to detail is critical to keep track of prospects and follow up with them consistently. The key is to find the right method for turning a potential partner into an actual client.

What might a typical day look like for you?

My day usually starts with ongoing outbound campaigns and pipeline management, which are critical aspects of my role as an SDR. Later on I attend team meetings to discuss the challenges we might face and advise on solving these blockers. Throughout the day, I focus on external meetings with prospects, e.g. CEOs, CTOs, and other potential partners, building those crucial relationships. I also take part in regular sales and cross-departmental training sessions to understand our services better and to improve our processes.

What is the most exciting part of introducing new companies to 10Clouds?

The most exciting part is exploring the endless possibilities for collaboration. I enjoy hearing about great product ideas from potential partners and helping to bring these to life. We get to work with innovative companies, and it's a thrill to play a part in bringing their products to market. The fact that our team gets to work on cutting-edge projects with passionate entrepreneurs is incredibly fulfilling.

What advice would you give to anyone looking to join 10Clouds as part of your team?

If you're interested in joining the SDR team at 10Clouds, my advice is to stay curious, open-minded, and adaptable. Keep up with industry trends and stay informed about emerging technologies. Be open to learning from others and don't be afraid to leave your comfort zone, since this role involves interacting with many different people and adapting to their unique needs.

Thank you.
