Quesmed is a fast-growing medical education technology startup based in the UK. It offers knowledge resources to medical students and doctors around the world. The company combines high-quality academic content with personalized technology. It supports users' success in their studies and careers.

Challenges
However, during the process of scaling up its platform, Quesmed faced several challenges, including finding reliable and experienced technology partners. They initially experimented with various outsourcing teams, but these teams didn't meet their expectations in terms of quality and reliability.
“When we entered the project, it turned out that it had a scattered development, which urgently needed to be fixed. On top of that, the founders were coding the backend themselves. Even though their assumptions were promising, the combination with our front end resulted in a remarkable outcome. Then, we managed to convince the client to work in sprints, which made the process regular. I was glad they were flexible, open to redesign, and understood that the apps needed to be consistent. They trusted us as experts,”
Initially, Quesmed addressed the need for a mobile app. But the scope of cooperation quickly expanded, and 10Clouds provided a comprehensive range of services, including design, branding, and project management.
Aleksander Fret was the second developer on the project, and his goal was to introduce a new feature - a module of special exams in the form of conversation. It was about situational scenes during which the examinee was checked on how they talk to the patient and how they check soft and hard competencies in the conversation. Later, he became the main front-end developer.
“Maintenance was challenging to do for the project because it used old libraries. We had to learn new schemes when we joined the job. We made a plan for reworking, that included fixing wrong implementations, doing things more systematically, in line with good practices, and updating the project’s documentation. Rarely do clients demonstrate the willingness to step back, embrace change, and trust the experts. It's a pleasure to work with such a mature approach,”
